It seems that our members are a little confused about using Xfire's voice chat system. Here's a quick how-to on how to use it, and connect to it without getting an invite from a member who's already in the chat room.

1.) When you're already in the chatroom, whether from an invite or not, you can go to the Chat window, and go to Actions --> Save. Then, in your Xfire buddy list, on the 3-chat bubble tab on the left-hand side you'll see the chat room. Double click it to join it. When you're in-game, you will automatically join the chatroom but voice will not be activated, so it's best to join the chat room before you start to play.

2.) If you're not in the chat room and you want to do the above tip, you can go to th 3-chat bubble tab on the left side of your Xfire buddy list, and use the bottom search bar to type "dmg damage inc" in all lowercase letters, and hit the green arrow. You will then join the chat room, where you can go to Actions --> Save in the chat room window and save it in your Xfire buddy list's chat tab.

It's best to use push to talk in xfire chat. This is for courtesy of all other players in the room as well as for your own benefit, so that if you're carrying out a conversation with another person in your room or something, we won't overhear the conversation.

You can tell Xfire to use Push-to-Talk by going to Tools --> Options, ~Voice tab in your Xfire buddy list window. You can choose any button you wish for the voice activation, for example I use the left Alt button.
